The Minority Affairs Committee seeks to: 

• To develop programs that increases the recruitment, participation and retention of underrepresented minorities within the field of basic and clinical endocrinology. 
• To advocate cultural diversity within the Society’s membership, programs, committees and leadership. 
• To increase the awareness within the scientific community and public at large of endocrine disorders that disproportionately affect underrepresented minorities.

To achieve these goals, the Committee has developed outreach programs for students at all levels from high school to graduate school and for professionals already in the field.
