The Endocrine Society's Scientific and Educational Meetings

ENDO - The Endocrine Society's Annual Meeting & Expo
ENDO features more than 200 scientific sessions covering the full breadth of endocrinology from basic & translational research to clinical research and practice.  With more than 7,000 attendees and 2,500 abstracts presented, ENDO is the largest meeting in our field.  As the only meeting for endocrine basic researchers, clinical investigators & physicians-in-practice, ENDO offers an excellent venue for scientific exchange and collaboration.

ENDO sessions include:

  • Plenary Lectures - renowned investigators explain the implications of their findings for our understanding of basic principles in endocrinology and for clinical practice
  • Endocrine "Year In" Reviews - lectures by clinical scientists and basic researchers on the most important discoveries of the past year in a particular focus area
  • Meet-The-Professor Sessions - the "MTPs" are among the most popular clinical sessions, in which attendees hear first-hand from recognized leaders in endocrine practice
  • Case Management Forums - the "CMFs" feature two endocrine experts discussing cases in difficult clinical topics
  • Conversations - small interactive sessions for trainees to meet with with basic researchers and clinical investigators
  • Career Development Workshops - each day at ENDO features presentation of topics on careers and skills important to fostering the professional development of trainees
  • Endocrine Trainee Day - a full day of pre-ENDO programming for clinical fellows, post-doctoral fellows, medical students, and graduate students; sessions cover everything from career pathways to clinical topics; competitive application required to attend

Also included in ENDO programming are Endocrine Debates, Symposia Sessions, Poster Discussions, Oral Presentations, exhibits, and much more.

Board Review Courses
The Endocrine Society's Endocrine Board Review Course is designed to prepare physicians for the ABIM Board Certification Examination in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.  The Board Review, which is held in conjunction with CEU, provides an intensive review of the eight key areas of endocrinology: calcium/bone, pituitary, lipids/obesity, thyroid, reproductive endocrinology, diabetes, and adrenal.

The Endocrine Society and the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society are also pleased to present a new Pediatric Endocrinology Board Review Course, held in conjunction with the LWPES/ESPE 8th Joint Meeting.  This course is designed to prepare physicians for the 2009 ABP Exam in Pediatric Endocrinology.

Need CME Credit? The Endocrine Society also provides a number of educational programs for physicians, some of which offer CME credit.  See the Education section of this web site for additional information.
