Breaking through the Clutter: What People Need to Know

On December 2, 2011, The Endocrine Society assembled a panel of leading physicians and researchers to “break through the clutter” of confusing information on common endocrine-related conditions and diseases such as diabetes, thyroid and hormone therapies. This seminar for journalists provided an in-depth examination of the intricate connection between hormones and health around the following topics:

  • Thyroid and Pregnancy: How do Thyroid Disorders and their Management Affect the Pregnant Woman and the Developing Fetus?
  • Testosterone and the Aging Man: Does Male Menopause Exist and When Should “Low T” Be Treated?
  • Women’s Health Initiative Ten Year Anniversary: What Have We Learned about the Risks and Benefits of Hormone Therapy?
