Regional programs offer diabetes specialists information on novel and emerging treatments for type 2 diabetes

Chevy Chase, MD— The Endocrine Society, in joint sponsorship with the Institute for Medicine and Nursing Education, Inc., has launched the Diabetes Masters Series, a program designed to provide diabetes specialists, including endocrinologists and primary care providers, with current knowledge on novel therapeutic options and evidence-based treatment strategies to assist with the implementation of individualized care for patients with type 2 diabetes.

In order to address the ongoing needs of patients with type 2 diabetes, clinical researchers continue to investigate new therapeutic strategies that have the potential to significantly improve treatment outcomes. The Diabetes Masters Series was created to help health care providers maximize the care of their patients by providing current evidence-based clinical guidelines and emerging therapeutic advances in diabetes care.

The Diabetes Masters Series consists of eight highly interactive regional meetings conducted throughout the United States. Through presentations, commentary and discussions this comprehensive educational program provides information on novel and emerging treatments for type 2 diabetes that can be applied immediately after the meeting and will result in direct improvements in patient care.
