The Endocrine Society Appoints Paul Hedrick

Hedrick, who has more than 20 years of progressive financial experience, will lead the finance and IT operations at the Society. Hedrick is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified internal auditor (CIA). Prior to his employment at the Society, Hedrick served for eight years as controller of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), a $300 million non-profit organization with two million members. In this role at SEIU, he had responsibility for managing banking relationships, investment advisors, external auditors, internal controls, general ledger operations, taxation, and financial and regulatory reporting. “Paul’s education, experience and proven record of accomplishment are the perfect addition to the Society’s senior management team,” said John Heberlein, deputy executive director and COO of The Endocrine Society. “His unique skills and talents will help to advance the Society’s strategic business development plan.” Hedrick’s previous work experience includes finance and internal audit roles within the manufacturing, telecom, banking and retail sectors. His ability to generate value-added results and innovative solutions will augment the Society’s strategic goals of growth, new product development and strengthened infrastructure. Hedrick earned his bachelor of science degree in finance and management from Virginia Tech, masters of business administration from George Mason University and master of science in information systems technology from The George Washington University
