 The Endocrine Society Appoints Patricia S. Green
Director of The Hormone Foundation

Chevy Chase, MD— The Endocrine Society has named Patricia S. Green the director of its public education affiliate, The Hormone Foundation. Green leads the Foundation in its mission to serve as a key informational resource for the public in the prevention, treatment and cure of hormone-related conditions.

Green is an experienced health association leader, having worked more than 20 years on a broad range of issues of importance to physicians, patients, researchers, medical schools and teaching hospitals. She is a former associate vice president with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) where a core focus during her 13-year tenure was directing national initiatives to increase public’s understanding of and appreciation for the special contributions of medical schools and teaching hospitals. 

While at AAMC, Green’s public affairs responsibilities included issues management, media relations, public opinion research, issues advertising, development training, marketing and crisis management. She launched her own consulting firm in 2006, lending her expertise to a diverse client base of health and non-health related entities. 

Previously, Green contributed to public relations and advocacy efforts at the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychiatric Association.  She came to the AAMC in 1993 from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she coordinated the institution’s media relations efforts.
 
Green earned her bachelor of arts degree from The University of Richmond and a master's degree in journalism from Michigan State University.
