Purpose/Need Clinical Endocrinologists serve a unique and essential role as an integrative force in medical practice. To that end, they must maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the most recent issues and developments in the field of endocrinology, to ensure the highest standard of care for patients with endocrine disorders. Review of manuscripts being considered for publication in The Endocrine Society's journals, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Molecular Endocrinology, Endocrinology, and Endocrine Reviews, provides a format for learning, helps reviewers to improve their skills in performing critical analysis of the medical literature, and ultimately improves the quality of the resulting publications.
