Medical Education/Communication Companies Industry The Endocrine Society is known for scientific excellence and a prestigious reputation. Since 1996, the Society’s Continuing Medical Education Services (CMES) has conducted more than 400 CMES programs, reaching over 100,000 physicians. CMES delivers the outstanding quality you expect through:
Supporting a CMES program accredited by The Endocrine Society through an educational grant is a highly effective way to ensure that the education is grounded in scientific excellence. All programs are developed in coordination with the Society’s Special Programs Committee and CME Advisory Committee, which review the program to ensure compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and American Medical Association (AMA) guidelines. While the programs are supported by educational grants from industry, they are developed by the Society without any influence from the supporter on the educational content of the program. Presentations can focus on the latest research and development, new disease state management guidelines or new therapies and treatment options. Programs can coincide with the Society’s Annual Meeting – ENDO, Clinical Endocrinology Update (CEU), or other stand-alone outside meetings, such as PriMed or another association meeting. Companies have the option of hiring a third party logistics manager. The Society is experienced and knowledgeable in working together with medical education/communication companies on developing program proposals, applications, and detailed budgets. However, in addition to being an accredited CME provider, the Society also has an in-house, professional meetings staff to manage program logistics. Although companies have the option of using the Society or hiring a third party logistics manager, the Society would appreciate the opportunity to work on the educational program in a comprehensive capacity.
