The Endocrine Society's Statement on Industry Relationships
With the impact of new regulations, the uncertainty in the economy, and the debate over health care reform in the US, 2009 has seen many changes in the medical field –– and we don't anticipate it slowing down anytime soon.
While The Endocrine Society maintains complete independence between industry funding and development of programs and activities, we felt that it was important to document the relationship in the spirit of transparency.
In June, The Endocrine Society’s Council approved
The Endocrine Society’s Statement on Industry Relationships which outlines the Society's policies on relationships with industry.
In addition to sending the document to all industry contacts, as well as representatives of the Corporate Liaison Board, the Society has posted the statement on its Web site as well as The The Society also plans to include a copy of the statement with all grant request submissions moving forward. to read the full document.
