CLINICAL TRIALS AT ENDO
The Annual Meeting Steering Committee invites all endocrine investigators to submit Clinical Trials abstracts to ENDO 2012. Abstract-based sessions at ENDO are not eligible for CME credit.
ENDO Clinical Trials Incentive: Clinical trials accepted for abstract presentation at ENDO may be submitted for expedited review as manuscripts to The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism through the Clinical Trials Express program.*
Clinical Trials Express benefits include:
- Speedy, expert peer-review
- Publication of accepted manuscripts in the most highly cited journal in the area of Endocrinology & Metabolism
- Online publication within 4 weeks of acceptance
*Authors of accepted clinical trial abstracts should contact the JCEM editorial office at sherman@endo-society.org when the full paper is ready to be submitted.
Given the complexities of review and approval by all investigators in a clinical trial, the ENDO Chairs understand that limited data may be available at the abstract submission deadline – 4:00 PM ET, Monday, February 6, 2012. However, if you anticipate that data for presentation will be available by June 23, 2012, all interested lead investigators should submit an abstract that details the trial design and rationale, inclusion criteria, primary clinical endpoints and any preliminary data.
Any additional supporting data should be submitted by March 6, 2012 to this email address: Annual Meeting Steering Committee. The ENDO 2012 Chairs will meet in February to review all submissions. At that time authors of promising Clinical Trials abstracts may be contacted for additional information.
At the time of initial abstract submission, all Clinical Trials authors may indicate that they choose to withdraw their abstract if it is not selected for an oral presentation at ENDO 2012. In addition, authors may choose to embargo their abstract until the time of the ENDO meeting in Houston.
Depending on the number and content of submissions, Clinical Trials abstracts may be invited for presentation in several venues:
- Clinical Trials Symposium
- Clinical Trials Oral presentation
- Oral presentation in the appropriate scientific category (e.g. thyroid disorders - clinical)
- Poster presentation in the appropriate scientific category
