ENDO 2011: The 93rd Annual Meeting & Expo, taking place in Boston, MA on June 4-7, 2011, is an unique opportunity for journalists to learn about the latest research in fields as diverse as obesity, endocrine disruptors, diabetes, growth hormones, sex steroids, thyroid cancer and much more. NEWS MEDIA REGISTRATION INFORMATION
To register as media to attend ENDO 2011, complete the online registration form located at the bottom of this page. Registering as media does not guarantee approval in receiving a press pass. The Endocrine Society will review the credentials of all reporters seeking to attend ENDO to ensure eligibility requirements are met. Media approved for attendance will receive official notification via email from Endocrine Society staff.

Saturday, June 4
Bone Health (2 p.m. EST): The latest in bone-health research for high-risk populations.
Sunday, June 5
Hormones and Cancer (1:30 p.m. EST): Latest hormone discoveries in cancer and fertility, and advances in treatment for prostate cancer.
Monday, June 6
Vitamin D (10:00 a.m. EST): Release of the Society’s Clinical Practice Guideline on Vitamin D and breaking research on the risks of vitamin D deficiency.
Clinical Trials (1:30 p.m. EST): Promising new research for improving memory and bone health in postmenopausal women and landmark results regarding nutritional strategies in intensive care patients.
Tuesday, June 7
Diabetes (10:00 a.m. EST): Latest therapeutic discoveries on the impact and management of diabetes.
PRESS ELIGIBILITY
- Working press employed by bona fide news media must present a press card, business card or letter of introduction from an editor of a recognized publication
- Public information officers of scientific societies, medical associations, educational institutions and government agencies must present a business card
REGISTERED MEDIA PRIVILEGES
- Special access to meeting sessions, news conferences and the Newsroom
- Access to personal mailboxes to receive news releases, messages and faxes
- Availability of an internet hub with hardwired and wireless capabilities
Representatives of for-profit corporations and of the business side of news media must register onsite, pay the appropriate fees and are not accredited as Press at the meeting.
Researchers and clinicians who are also reporters and who are presenting at this meeting (oral or poster session) may receive news media credentials if they qualify (see above), but must also register for the meeting and pay the appropriate presenter fee.

Unless otherwise noted, all abstracts presented at ENDO 2011 are embargoed until the date and time of presentation. The Endocrine Society reserves the right to lift the embargo on specific abstracts that are selected for promotion prior to or during ENDO 2011.
