ENDO 2011 Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Rules
Late-Breaking Abstracts
The Endocrine Society solicits late-breaking, high-impact endocrine studies to be submitted for ENDO 2011. Late-breaking abstracts may be submitted for consideration between March 24 and April 8. A limited number of these high profile abstracts will be accepted for presentation in a late-breaking oral or poster session.
- Late-breaking abstracts must be submitted by Friday, April 8, 2011, 5:00 PM US Central Time.
- An abstract cannot contain data already accepted for publication as an original manuscript at the time of abstract submission or previously presented at a national meeting within the USA. Violators of this policy may be subject to administrative withdrawal of the abstract, and may be barred from presenting at future meetings of The Endocrine Society.
- Once submitted, NO REVISIONS to abstracts will be allowed. If orthographic or grammatical corrections are necessary after the abstract has been submitted, a $65.00 fee will be charged.
- Abstracts are allowed 2,500 characters. The abstract title, authors/institutions, and disclosure information are NOT counted toward this allotment. Support sources and references that are entered in the text boxes designated for this information also are NOT counted toward this allotment. Spaces are included in the total character count.
- Graphics (figures & tables) may not be submitted with abstracts. ENDO abstracts are required to be text-only.
- Authorship on multiple abstracts is permitted.
- It is the responsibility of the submitting (contact) author to ensure that all co-authors review the abstract prior to submission. Confirmation of abstract submission will be e-mailed to co-authors listed on the abstract. Failure to obtain permission to publish from co-authors is liable to result in abstract rejection.
- The presenting author on the abstract must attend ENDO 2011 to validate the abstract.
- Submitting an abstract DOES NOT register you for ENDO 2011. Online registration and program information can be found on The Endocrine Society's Web site at www.endo-society.org. To receive registration forms, contact The Endocrine Society at: 8401 Connecticut Avenue, Suite 900, Chevy Chase, Maryland 20815-5817; Phone: 1-301-941-0210; Fax: 1-301-941-0257, E-mail ENDO at: societyservices@endo-society.org
- If your abstract is selected for an oral presentation, the contact author hereby gives permission for The Endocrine Society to record the presentation for possible inclusion in a compilation of presentations from ENDO 2011.
- ENDO abstracts will be published in an online supplement to Endocrine Reviews, and in the online and CD-ROM Abstracts2ViewTM products with meeting itinerary planner.
