Countdown to ENDO in Washington, DC

The nation's capitol, Washington, DC, is more than just the government seat of the United States. DC offers eclectic nightlife, fine dining, world-class museums and performing arts and a stunning array of monuments on the National Mall. A true international city, DC also boasts a diverse population of international residents and visitors year-round.

ENDO 09 is jam-packed with breakthrough science, CME-accredited education and networking opportunities. Most ENDO events, including all sessions on the scientific program, will be held in the state-of-the-art Walter E Washington Convention Center. Conveniently located in downtown between 7th and 9th Streets, and N Street and Mt. Vernon, the convention center is easily accessed by public transportation.

Destination DC

Finally, no mention of DC would be complete without the National Mall, the White House and the monuments. Running between the Washington Monument, Smithsonian, United States Capitol, and the National Mall is a grassy promenade lined with museums, nearly all of which are free to visitors. The White House sits above the Ellipse, just north of the Washington Monument. South and west of these are the Reflecting Pool, the Tidal Basin and the world-famous Lincoln and Jefferson memorials. Several other monuments are also located in this area, including the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the World War II Memorial and the Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial.

With all the attractions Washington DC has to offer and events happening at the Washington Convention Center, we hope you have some extra time to explore!

We look forward to seeing you at ENDO!
