ENDO 2007 Invited Speaker Guidelines

(Invited Speakers include: Plenary, Symposia, Endocrine Debate, Endocrine Update (The Year In …series), New Technology, Workshop, Out-of-the Box Workshop speakers and Oral Session Presenters)

Submit your presentations and access important information at
http://www.speakerconcierge.com/endo/

Please be sure to check the Meeting & Exhibit Guide for session start time and final room assignments.

  • Presentations must be prepared in PowerPoint.
  • Each Scientific Session Room will be equipped with a networked, custom-configured computer, eliminating the process of switching laptops.
  • We will be utilizing electronic presentation software to manage presentation materials. We encourage speakers to check-in at the Speaker Prep Room one day before their scheduled presentation. This will allow time to prepare, rehearse, and finalize your presentation before submitting it. The computers in the Speaker Prep Room will be configured with hardware and software exactly like the computer in the meeting rooms.
  • It is important that you arrive in your session room at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your session, and introduce yourself to the projectionist (who will be wearing an AVMG badge). Take time to familiarize yourself with the setup at the lectern. You will control/advance the slides during your presentation and you will be able to view the presentation on a computer monitor near the lectern. The projectionist will remain in the room throughout the session. A standing microphone will be provided at each lectern. The standing microphone will be positioned on the screen side of the lectern and will replace the need for a lavaliere microphone as well as diminish the possibility of audio feedback. Speak directly into the microphone in a normal voice and do not handle the microphone while speaking. There should be a comfortable distance between your mouth and the microphone. If you turn away from the microphone, the audience may not hear your voice.
  • If you have decided to prepare handouts for your session, please note that The Endocrine Society will not be reproducing them for distribution. It will be your responsibility to bring any handouts for your session that you wish to distribute.
