About the Endocrine Society’s 89th Annual Meeting

During the course of ENDO, over 190 scientific sessions are produced in a variety of formats on topics covering the full range of endocrinology from basic and translational research to clinical practice. The ENDO 07 scientific program includes 16 Plenary Sessions, 160 Meet-the-Professor sessions, over 76 symposia, and 350 speakers representing the world's best endocrinologists as well as the following program highlights:

  • Enhanced programming for fellows and students focusing on both scientific and clinical career development topics delivered in a track format
  • Development of the “Year In…” Review Sessions, featuring leading endocrinologists highlighting the most important published clinically-relevant discoveries in the past year
  • Creation of the “Conversations with Basic Researchers” Series featuring 12 smallgroup discussions led by top basic endocrine researchers from around the world
  • “Out-of-the-Box” Workshops featuring key policy-makers and thought leaders discussing how science and policy interface with society at large
  • Four full days of poster presentations
  • Unopposed opening Presidential Plenary Sessions on Saturday morning
  • Inaugural Clark T. Sawin Memorial Lecture featuring
  • Dr. Michael Bliss, renowned medical historian, discussing the history of Harvey Cushing, early endocrine controversies and the birth of The Endocrine Society
