Lilly Endocrine Scholars Award

The Lilly Endocrine Scholars Award provides $50,000 in funding for one year for a fellow to perform clinical research related to pituitary disorders, bone disorders or diabetes mellitus (in vivo studies or in vitro studies with human tissue or human cell lines). An independent panel of The Endocrine Society selects the recipient. Eligible applicants must be a D.O., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. fellow either:

  1. enrolled in their first through third year of training in an U.S. adult or pediatric clinical endocrinology program or
  2. has completed a U.S. adult or pediatric endocrinology training program and are now proposing to do a research fellowship in a U.S. training program.

The award includes a stipend, fringe benefits and indirect costs. The recipient also receives complimentary membership in The Endocrine Society and free online access to all four Society journals through 2011.
