The Amgen Scholars Fellowship provides one fellow with funding for one year to perform clinical research related to osteoporosis and bone disorders.

An independent panel of The Endocrine Society selects the recipient. Eligible applicants must be an M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or D.O. fellow either:

• enrolled in their first through third year of training in a U.S. adult or pediatric clinical endocrinology program or
• has completed a U.S. adult or pediatric clinical endocrinology-training program and are now proposing to do a research fellowship in a U.S. training program.

The award includes a stipend and incidental costs (i.e. travel to scientific meetings). The recipient also receives complimentary membership in The Endocrine Society and a subscription to The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism (JCEM) through 2013. Supported by Amgen.
