I am pleased to present the 2011 recipient of the Gerald D. Aurbach Award, Evan Dale Abel. Dale is the Chief of Endocrinology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dale has made tremendous contributions to diabetes and cardiac research. He is a superb innovator, teacher and mentor. Please join me in congratulating Dale.
