Edwin B. Astwood Award Lecture

Gary D. Hammer, MD, PhD
University of Michigan

Gary Hammer is a world leader in studies of adrenal development and adrenal cancer. His transformational research on SF1 changed the paradigm of orphan nuclear receptor action and defined critical pathways that dictate self-renewal, multipotency, and fate of adrenal stem and progenitor cells in health and disease. Importantly, Gary has eloquently translated these discoveries into targeted therapies for adrenal cancer.
