6 fellow awards at $2,000 each; 1 mentor award at $25,000
Awarded for outstanding abstracts authored by M.D. fellows (or equivalent clinical care certification) presently enrolled in an established U.S. or Canadian endocrine science training program who is conducting research as a major investigator in clinically relevant aspects of thyroid disease. Applicants must be first author on qualifying ENDO abstract representing work not supported by Abbott Laboratories. The fellows selected as finalist must participate in an oral presentation at ENDO 09. The mentor of the winning presentation will receive the Abbott Thyroid Research Mentor Award. The last day to submit an abstract and to apply for this award is January 12, 2009.
