Endocrine Society Member Phyllis Wise Elected to the Institute of Medicine

Phyllis Wise, Ph.D., provost and professor of physiology, biophysics, obstetrics, and gynecology at the University of Washington in Seattle, has become the latest member of The Endocrine Society to be elected to the Institute of Medicine (IOM).  Dr. Wise has been a member of the Society for 32 years, serving in several capacities including on the Awards Committee, Nominating Committee, Editorial Board, and Program Committee.

Membership in the IOM is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievements and commitment to service. With their election, members make a commitment to give volunteer time to Institute committees that engage in a broad range of studies of health issues.
