Society Members on National Television

Members of The Endocrine Society have appeared on Fox Television's national daytime talk show "Mornings with Mike and Juliet" twice this week.

On Tuesday, May 13, Margaret Wierman, MD, discussed the implications of new research published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism(JCEM) on the relationship between anti-Müllerian hormone and the onset of menopause. This research was the subject of a recent Society news release and was covered in Time, Newsweek, and other Internet and print publications. Dr. Wierman participated via satellite for the interview, which can be viewed here:

The next day, Nanette Santoro, MD, appeared live, in studio, for a panel discussion on the growing anti-aging industry that has sprung up in the United States and elsewhere. The segment countered the claims of those touting anti-aging treatments, and provided compelling facts about the lack of scientific data and the risks posed by taking cocktails of various hormones and so-called dietary supplements. Dr. Santoro also appeared in a "Green Room Interview" following the show, which allowed for more complete discussion than the live broadcast was able to accommodate.
