Endocrine Insider On May 5 and 6, the NBC Nightly News aired a two-part segment on the 50th anniversary of the birth control pill. After giving a history of the pill, the segment discussed the pill’s evolution and the future of contraception. As part of the future of contraception, the segment highlighted a study from the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM) on injectable testosterone as an effective means of male contraception. The news segment featured the May 2009 cover of JCEM, the issue in which the original research was reported. This two-part series aired a second time the following morning on The Today Show. |
