NIH Awards Nine New CTSAs

The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) has awarded new Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSAs) to nine institutions, bringing the total number of CTSA institutions to 55.  A final funding opportunity, with a deadline of October 14, 2010, is intended to bring the total number of CTSAs to 60 by next year.

The nine newly awarded institutions are:

Children's National Medical Center, Washington, D.C.
Georgetown University with Howard University, Washington, D.C.
Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee
University of California, Irvine
University of California, San Diego
University of Massachusetts, Worcester
University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Albuquerque University of Southern California, Los Angeles Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond
